The Central Weather Administration issued high temperature warnings in several parts of Taiwan on Thursday (18 July).

• Red: Maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius can be expected in New Taipei City, and Pingtung County.
• Orange: Tainan City: Maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius can be expected in Taoyuan City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Kaohsiung City, Yilan County, Hualien County, Taitung County, Kinmen County.
• Yellow: Hsinchu County can witness 36 degrees Celsius.
