As per reports, Hidalgo County released a disaster declaration on Friday (28 March) in response to widespread flooding that caused significant damage and resulted in three fatalities. The declaration enables the county to access additional resources and implement emergency measures to support recovery efforts.
A one-page disaster declaration was released. It states that extraordinary measures must be taken to safeguard the public’s health, safety, and overall well-being. These actions are intended to alleviate suffering and protect or rehabilitate property in the affected area.
