As per reports, the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has instructed all four emirates to begin preparations for the Sallah Durbar celebration from 28 March.
• Sallah Durbar, which refers to the Kano Durbar Festival, is expected to be celebrated in Nigeria, starting on 28 March until 01 April.
• The directive aims to ensure that citizens and visitors enjoy the festive period.
• The governor emphasized the importance of the tradition and assured that security agencies would provide adequate protection during the celebration.
• The Kano State Emirate Council is set to be inaugurated in April to enhance its functionality.
