As per reports, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting forecasts that by Friday morning (25 October), Tropical Storm Trami is expected to be centered 650 kilometers northeast of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, moving westward at 10-15 kilometers per hour. By Saturday morning (26 October), the storm may move west-northwest at around 15 kilometers per hour, positioning itself 190 kilometers east-northeast of Hoang Sa.
As Trami passes over Hoang Sa, its intensity could reach level 12 with gusts up to level 15 before moving toward central Vietnamese provinces. The storm is expected to bring widespread heavy rainfall to central Vietnam from Saturday (26 October) to Monday (28 October).
• The northern part of the East Vietnam Sea may experience wind speeds of 62-88 kilometers per hour starting Thursday morning, with areas near the storm’s center potentially experiencing gusts up to 117 kilometers per hour and waves reaching 4-6 meters.
• The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has instructed the deployment of rescue officials to coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Binh Thuan, advising vessel owners and captains on the storm’s developments and urging preparedness for potential rescue and emergency operations.
