As per reports, a rainy depression from the Red Sea is expected to bring light to medium rainfall across southwestern Iraq between Wednesday (05 March) and Friday (07 March).
• By evening of Wednesday (05 March), precipitation is expected to expand to cover the entire southern region and the Middle Euphrates.
• Rainfall is anticipated to intensify on Thursday (06 March), with widespread precipitation expected in central and southern Iraq.
• Although the weather may temporarily stabilize between Wednesday (05 March) night and Thursday (06 March) afternoon, the system is expected to regain intensity by Friday (07 March).
• At dawn on Friday (07 March), heavy rain-bearing clouds are expected to develop, bringing severe thunderstorms with rainfall exceeding 44 millimetres in some areas. The northern regions are anticipated to experience scattered rainfall, while the central and southern parts may experience the most significant impact.
