As per reports, ItaliaMeteo has issued a red alert for parts of Italy due an intense heat wave on Friday (12 July).

• The cities affected include Rome, Florence, Bologna, Campobasso, Frosinone, Latina, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Trieste and Viterbo.
• Temperatures are expected to range between 40 degrees Celsius to 42 degrees Celsius until Sunday (14 July).
