According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), different heat alerts have been issued in Taiwan as on Tuesday (01 July) valid through late afternoon;

• An orange alert is issued for New Taipei City, Changhua County. Daily maximum temperature to reach 36 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
• A yellow alert is issued for Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Hualien County, Taitung County, Kinmen County. Daily maximum temperature to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
• As of 1006 hours, the highest temperature recorded around Taiwan on Tuesday (01 July) was 36.7 degrees, in Shezi in Taipei City and Wugu in New Taipei City, according to CWA data.
