The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued heavy to extremely rainfall advisories across parts of Taiwan, remaining in effect through Saturday night (24 October).
• Extremely heavy rainfall or torrential rainfall advisories have been issued for the mountainous areas of Yilan County, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County and Miaoli County.
• Heavy rainfall or extremely heavy rainfall advisories are in effect for Keelung City, the North Coast, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, the mountainous areas of Taichung City, Nantou County, Yunlin County and Chiayi County, as well as Yilan County and the mountainous areas of Hualien County.
• A heavy rainfall advisory has also been issued for Hsinchu City, Taichung City, Nantou County, Tainan City, the mountainous areas of Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County, and Hualien County.
