As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a heat advisory for parts of Minnesota, North Carolina and Iowa effective from Monday (15 July).
• In North Carolina, the advisory is in effect until 2000 hours local time on Monday (15 July) at Mecklenburg.
• In Iowa, the advisory is in effect until 2000 hours local time on Monday (15 July) at Audubon, Guthrie, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Cass, Adair, Madison, Warren, Marion, Mahaska, Adams, Union, Clarke, Lucas, Monroe, Wapello, Taylor, Ringgold, and Decatur.
• In Minnesota, the advisory is in effect until 2000 hours local time on Tuesday (16 July) at Stewart, Montgomery, Robertson, Sumner, Houston, Humphreys, Dickson, Cheatham, Davidson, Wilson, Trousdale, Smith, Perry, Hickman, Lewis, Williamson, Maury, and Rutherford.
• According to the advisory, heat index values are expected to reach up to 106 degrees Fahrenheit during this period.
