As per reports, the Confederación Estatal de Sindicatos Médicos, State Confederation of Medical Unions (CESM), Federación Aragonesa de Sindicatos de Médicos de Atención Primaria, Aragonese Federation of Primary Care Medical Unions (FASAMET), and Sindicato de Enfermería, Nursing Union (SATSE), medical and nursing unions in Zaragoza, have scheduled strikes on 24 and 31 March in response to a decree restructuring primary care emergency services.

• The unions argue that the reform, which mandates additional shifts for all healthcare professionals at four designated emergency centers, Grande Covián, Inocencio Jiménez, Ramón y Cajal, and Pablo Remacha, was imposed without negotiation and negatively affects working conditions.
• In addition to the strikes, demonstrations and rallies have been planned, including protests at health centers on 11 and 20 March, as well as a city-wide demonstration on 16 March.
• Health center coordinators have expressed concerns over the logistical challenges of implementing the reform, particularly the redistribution of medical personnel to emergency centers and the impact on existing workloads.
• The reform, which extends mandatory emergency coverage hours from 1500 hours to 2200 hours (local time) on weekdays and from 0900 hours to 2100 hours (local time) on weekends, has been approved despite opposition from CEMSATSE, which argues that it will further burden already strained primary care services.
