As per reports, two coaches of a goods train en route from Maharani Laxmi Bai Railway Junction in Jhansi to Kanpur derailed near the outer signal line on Thursday (26 December). This led to railway traffic disruption for nearly three hours but traffic has been restored as of 1800 hours. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far and the cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained.
