As per reports, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is scheduled for a state visit to Nigeria from Tuesday (10 December) to Thursday (12 December).

• President Steinmeier will meet with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) President Dr Alieu Omar Touray in Abuja.
• The Lagos segment of the visit will focus on German business interest in Nigeria, including visits to a start-up hub, interactions with cultural icons like Dr Nike Okundaye and Professor Wole Soyinka, and discussions on urban development.
• A high-ranking German business delegation will accompany the President, reflecting increased German investment interests.
