As per reports, an 18-tonne gas-laden capsule tanker overturned on the Mathura–Kasganj–Bareilly highway near Nagla Dukariya in Kasganj district on Monday (16 March). The incident led authorities to halt vehicular movement on both carriageways due to concerns about a potential gas leak.

• The tanker was travelling from Gujarat to Bareilly when it reportedly went out of control due to poor road conditions and loose soil along the roadside. The vehicle overturned on the highway, prompting officials to suspend traffic movement as a precautionary measure.
• Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sanjeev Singh, along with police and fire brigade personnel, reached the site after receiving information about the incident. Two fire tenders were deployed as part of safety measures while authorities diverted traffic and secured the surrounding area. Technical teams were called to inspect the tanker and assess whether any gas leakage had occurred. Officials stated that the possibility of a minor leak was being examined.
