As per reports, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke announced on Tuesday (20 October) that the party would temporarily suspend protests until after Diwali, urging supporters to spend the festive period with their families.

The announcement follows several days of demonstrations and police action in New Delhi over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with the CJP and opposition parties demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral irregularities.
