As per reports, on Wednesday (15 October), early morning temperatures in parts of the Willamette Valley are expected to drop near freezing, prompting a frost advisory from the National Weather Service.
• Much of the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area is expected to avoid frosty conditions due to slightly higher elevations and urban heat effects.
• Low-lying areas along the Willamette Valley, including parts of Salem, Corvallis, and Albany, may experience temperatures approaching the freezing mark.
• Areas east of the Cascades, including Bend, Redmond, and La Pine, are forecast to see below freezing temperatures, with readings in the upper 20 degrees Fahrenheit early Wednesday (15 October) morning.
