As per reports, several flood alerts remain in place across Kent on Monday (February 12) morning as further heavy rainfall have been forecast for the county through Wednesday (14 February). A total of four alerts for flooding have been issued by the Environment Agency as the prolonged rain seen over the weekend has left river levels high in many areas.
• The flood alerts remain in place along the River Stour and Nailbourne. Rainfall with a range of up to 16 millimetres/hour is expected to the north of the county, particularly in Medway, Sittingbourne and the Isle of Sheppey, between 0800 hours and 0830 hours (local time) On Wednesday (14 February).
• Meanwhile, a large section of Kent, including Ashford, Dover, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, will witness widespread rainfall at approximately 2100 hours local time on Wednesday (14 February).
