As per reports, on Sunday (08 February), a Japan Coast Guard patrol vessel spotted four China Coast Guard vessels sailing in the contiguous waters outside the territorial waters around the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture.

The 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters (Naha) informed that both vessels have been equipped with machine guns, and patrol boats warned them not to approach Japanese territorial waters.
