As per reports, disruptions due to thick fog and the cold wave conditions in the Delhi-National Capital Territory (NCT) remain ongoing as of Thursday (04 January). The following are the latest updates:

• Across Noida and Greater Noida, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration issued an order for the closure of all schools for students up to eighth grade until Saturday (06 January) in light of the cold wave. Furthermore, the administration ordered that school timings for older children be changed to operate only between 1000-1500 hours.
• 26 trains faced delays in Delhi on Wednesday (03 November) due to poor visibility on railway tracks. Dense fog enveloped isolated pockets of Western Uttar Pradesh, and around the border with Delhi.
• As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert for cold weather remains in place in Delhi on Thursday (04 January).
• Yellow alerts for fog and cold weather also remain in place in Ghaziabad and Noida for Thursday (04 January).
