As per reports, heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding and disruptions in various areas of Jakarta and surrounding Jabodetabek regions, including Bogor, Depok, Pondok Aren Area in South Tangerang, and Bekasi, Indonesia on Monday (11 November).

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported increased water levels at the Angke Hulu and Krukut Hulu Posts (Alert Level 3) following heavy rainfall on Monday evening (11 November). Here are the latest details:

• As of evening hours on Monday (11 November), Lebak Bulus Village, Cilandak Barat Village and Cilandak Timur Village near Jakarta are flooded with flood water levels ranging between 30-50 cm.
• Flooding also impacted North Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. The water level reached 20 cm in the Pasir Gombong area, temporarily halting vehicle access due to drainage issues.
• The Uli River overflowed, causing flooding in Mekarwangi Village, Tanahsereal District, Bogor City. Residential areas and roads were inundated.
• In the Pondok Mangu Indah area, a water-retaining embankment, under temporary repair, broke due to high river discharge, flooding streets and several homes. South Tangerang BPBD confirmed repair efforts are underway following repeated breaks.
• More than 550 people have been evacuated and evacuation operations are still underway in Pondok Aren Area, South Tangerang amid floods.
• Indonesia is expected to continue experiencing heavy rainfall and rainstorms, especially around Jakarta, with more intense thunderstorms between Tuesday-Friday (12-15 November), according to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia (BMKG).
