As per reports, on Tuesday (04 February), severe weather conditions resulting from a cyclone are significantly impacting air travel and local services in the Sakhalin region, Russia. The storm has caused widespread disruptions, including the cancellation of several flights and changes to the schedules of domestic and international routes.
• Flights between Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Kuril Islands as well as domestic flights to Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, Zonalnoye, and Yuzhno-Kurilsk have been canceled.
• Flights from Krasnoyarsk and Blagoveshchensk to Sakhalin have been rescheduled for Wednesday (05 February).
• The regional Ministry of Energy has implemented a high alert regime, which will remain in place until Saturday (08 February) due to ongoing adverse weather conditions.
