As per reports, Oslo Gardermoen Airport was closed off to the general public due to safety concerns after heavy snowfall was reported in Oslo on Wednesday (17 January). Many train services and other public transport services also faced severe delays or cancellations.

Snowfall and strong winds resulted in the suspension of flights due to reduced visibility in the eastern regions of Norway and Sweden. Snow warnings have also been issued for Stockholm, Uppland, and Norrland wherein 30 cm of snowfall is likely on Wednesday (17 January) evening.
