As per reports, the Fire and Emergency NZ Incident informed that crews are stationed at both West Melton and the Courtney Road fire near Kirwee on Tuesday (10 December). The authorities further stated that some flare-ups occurred when the wind fanned partially burned vegetation and trees into flame.

75 personnel have been working on the two fires. Moreover, at Bridge Hill, crews would continue to extinguish hotspots around the perimeter of the fireground.
