As per reports, a fire weather watch has been issued for Utah, with significant fire risks expected on Thursday (22 August) and Friday (23 August).

• The National Weather Service warns of heavy winds, reaching up to 58 miles per hour in certain areas, combined with extremely low humidity levels.
• These conditions heighten the potential for wildfires, particularly in regions such as the Salt Lake Desert, Color Country, and the West Desert.
• The highest wind speeds are anticipated in Box Elder County and the Raft River Mountains to the northwest.
• National Weather Service forecasters have indicated that winds ranging from 15 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour, combined with relative humidity levels between five to ten percent, will result in critical fire conditions.
• Iron County, Beaver County, Millard County, Sanpete County, Juab County, Central and Western Utah County, Tooele County, Box Elder County, and Western Weber County are the counties that may be affected.
