As per reports, a fire broke out at a building near East Japan Railway’s Omori Station in Ota Ward, Tokyo at around 1000 hours (local time) on Sunday (04 February), causing JR trains to suspend operations on the Keihin Tohoku Line and the Tokaido Line for about three hours and injuring one person.
Due to the fire, a Keihin Tohoku Line train was stopped between Omori and Kamata stations and about 800 passengers on board were guided along the tracks to the nearest railroad crossing. Meanwhile, the fire was under control after about 2.5 hours but burned part of an adjacent building.
