As per reports, a fire had broken out on the factory premises of the Lenzing AG in Upper Austria at about 0830 hours local time on Friday (19 April). Fire alarms were received by the Lenzing AG company fire department and the Lenzing, Reibersdorf, Vöcklabruck, Timelkam, and Schörfling fire departments after 0835 hours local time.

• Thick clouds of smoke could be seen from miles away, as per several videos on social networks sites.
• Alert level 2 for fire was declared, and large-scale fire brigade operation was ongoing. However, the fire is under control now.
• One person being injured in the fire has been reported so far. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
