As per reports, a fire broke out at approximately 1215 hours (local time) on Thursday (09 April) in a yard located in Terakuchi, Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

The Ibaraki Southwest Wide Area Fire Department responded, and firefighting operations are ongoing. As of 1530 hours (local time), the fire had not been extinguished.

• The incident has resulted in multiple structures and vehicles within the premises catching fire. The affected site is located near the Sashima Clean Center in Terakuchi.
• No injuries have been reported so far. Authorities, including the Sakai Police Station, are investigating the cause of the fire.
