As per reports, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday (12 June) a public holiday in commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day.

• The official announcement, issued by the Federal Ministry of Interior, confirms that all federal government offices, state secretariats, and commercial banks nationwide will be closed during the holiday.
• The holiday marks 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance across the federation.
