According to reports, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning regarding the potential for extreme weather in the Tangerang City and South Tangerang (Tangsel) areas on Tuesday evening (17 June).

• The extreme weather referred to heavy to very heavy rainfall, or even extreme rainfall which can be accompanied by strong winds and lightning.
• The warning was valid till 2200 hours and may extend further as well.
• Areas of Ciledug, Central Karang, Larangan, Serpong, North Serpong, Pondok Aren, Ciputat, East Ciputat, and surrounding areas are likely to be affected.
