As per reports, the Quảng Bình Border Guard Command reported that the Làng Ho Border Guard Station was urgently deployed to carry out the evacuation of residents from a flood-prone area in Kim Thủy Commune, Lệ Thủy district, due to worsening flood conditions on Thursday (12 June). An emergency evacuation of 52 people from 10 households was carried out due to severe flooding and heavy rainfall.
• Heavy rainfall and rising water levels in rivers and streams led to flooding of approximately 0.5 meters on sections of National Highway 9B passing through Ngân Thủy Commune, hindering traffic and posing risks to mobility.
• Local authorities and border guard units have been actively advising residents against entering forests, approaching rivers and streams, or using submerged crossings to ensure safety.
• Two Quảng Bình fishing vessels capsized in heavy winds and high waves while evacuating, all eight fishermen on board were rescued by nearby boats.
