The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) stated on Monday (23 June) that an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred about 73 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental at 0734 hours.

• The tremor was initially measured at magnitude 5.1, but the state seismic agency later downgraded it.
• General Santos City; Matanao, Davao del Sur; Alabel and Malungon, Sarangani recorded the intensity at level 2. Koronadal City, South Cotabato; Magsaysay, Davao del Sur; Kiamba, Sarangani; and Nabunturan, Davao de Oro were listed at level 1.
