As per reports, repair works on the main line of S-Bahn route in Munich have necessitated disruptions to the train schedule on Wednesday (17 July), with the issue expected to persist until Thursday (18 July) morning.

• Severe disruptions to S-Bahn traffic between Pasing and Ostbahnhof have resulted in reduced capacity and slower speeds along critical sections of the main line.
• Commuters should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes on operational routes. To mitigate inconvenience, Deutsche Bahn tickets are also valid for travel on MVG services (subway, bus, tram) until Thursday (18 July) morning.
• The following S-Bahn lines have resumed service along the main route in both directions: S2, S3, S6, S7, and S8 as of 1130 hours local time on Wednesday (17 July).
• However, certain lines remain affected by the disruption, specifically, the S1, S4, S20.
