Disruption reported in Glasgow central trains due to railway line closure on Friday (13 December)

As per reports, due to an obstruction on the railway line between Dumfries and Carlisle on Friday (13 December), all lines in the affected area are currently closed. As a result, train services between Dumfries and Carlisle are experiencing cancellations, delays, or revisions. Additionally, services between Glasgow Central Station and Carlisle, which operate via Dumfries, may also face disruptions.

The issue is under investigation, with Network Rail staff dispatched to assess and resolve the situation. The duration of the disruption is currently unknown. Train services may be cancelled, delayed, or revised.
