As per reports, several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) which includes the key cities of Gurugram, Delhi, and Noida, experienced dense fog on Saturday morning (01 February) resulting in travel related disruptions. Visibility was near zero on many roads such as the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, DND Flyover, and Barapullah Flyover.
• Flight and train operations in the capital are also expected to get affected.
• The Delhi Airport posted on X (formerly Twitter) that while landings and take offs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected.
• The AQI forecast for the capital suggests that the air quality will continue to remain in the “very poor” category till Monday (03 February).
• The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow nowcast warning for fog until 1130 hours across Delhi.
