As per reports, the police have arrested a member of the ATM fraud gang, identified as a resident of North Delhi and recovered a cutter, fiber stick (used to stop cash dispensing from ATM) and tape used in the crime. A case under Sections 305, 331(4) and 3(5) of the BNS was registered on Friday (26 July).

Branch head had stated that suspicious activity was reported in an ATM at the Furniture Market in Sector 34. It was conveyed through Central Monitoring Team on Friday (26 July) at 0100 hours. They checked the CCTV footage and found that one man entered the ATM lobby, tampered with cash dispenser, opened the lower door of ATM with duplicate key and placed adhesive tape inside the ATM cabinet door which stopped cash dispensing. Later on, fraudster came and open the lower door and collected the cash.
