Cyber attack reported on court database in Victoria

As per reports, hackers accessed and stole court recordings database in Victoria, Australia. Recordings of some hearings between 01 November and 21 December 2023 may have been stolen. No other court systems or records like employee or financial data was accessed.

Hearings in January will proceed after the affected network has been isolated and disabled, and court officials are working closely with the government’s cyber security experts. It has not been revealed if any ransomware demands have been made.
