As per reports, the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) has announced nationwide protest programmes on Friday-Saturday (23–24 May) against the interim government’s decision to permit a humanitarian corridor for aid to Myanmar’s Rakhine state.
CPB is also protesting the decision to lease the New Mooring Container Terminal at Chattogram Port to a foreign entity. Additionally, CPB is demanding immediate electoral reforms.
