As per reports, MetService has stated that some of the coldest temperatures overnight on Monday (06 May) were in Tekapo (-3.7 degrees Celsius), Dunedin Airport (-2.6 degrees Celsius), Christchurch (0.8 degrees Celsius) and Alexandra (-2.2 degrees Celsius).

• In Auckland, temperatures are expected to dip to a low of 7 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees Celsius this week, with some showers expected up until Wednesday (08 May).
• The low in Wellington for this week is mostly 5 degrees Celsius and 6 degrees Celsius. Rainfall was expected on Monday (06 May), Thursday (09 May) and Saturday (11 May) in the region.
• Christchurch is expected to witness a cold wave, with sub-zero temperatures (-3 degrees Celsius) expected on Thursday (09 May), along with rainfall, and a low of 0 degrees Celsius for Monday and Tuesday (06-07 May).
• Morning frost and occasional rain was forecast for Monday (06 May) for the region, with more rain due Wednesday and Friday (08-10 May). No weather warnings have been issued yet, which can be checked at https://www.metservice.com/warnings/home when issued.
