As per reports, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality’s General Directorate of Electric, Water, Gas, Bus and Trolleybus, known as ESHOT, temporarily closed Zihni Üstün İlköğretim Okulu bus stop 20488 on Girne Boulevard in Örnekköy Neighbourhood, Karşıyaka District, from Wednesday (23 September), due to connecting-road and road-widening works.
• The temporary closure has no published reopening date and is expected to remain in effect until the relevant road works are completed.
• Authorities has advised passengers who regularly use bus stop 20488 may need to use nearby ESHOT stops on Girne Boulevard while the closure remains in effect.
• Authorities has also given warned of potential traffic disruption on Girne Boulevard and surrounding roads in Örnekköy Neighbourhood due to road-widening and connecting-road works.
