As per reports, Glasgow’s M8 motorway will be closed eastbound between Junctions 10 (Westerhouse Road) and 11 (Stepps Road Interchange) for five consecutive nights to facilitate essential resurfacing works from 26 May until 30 May.

• The works are scheduled to occur between 2000 hours and 0600 hours (local time) each night between 26 and 30 May. During these periods, the eastbound carriageway between the two junctions will be completely closed to all vehicular traffic.
• A diversion route will be implemented for motorists. Vehicles will be redirected via the Junction 11 eastbound off-slip, B765 Stepps Road, Edinburgh Road, Wellhouse Road, Westerhouse Road, and will re-enter the M8 eastbound via the Junction 10 on-slip.
• Additionally, the Junction 11 eastbound on-slip will be closed during the same timeframe. Southbound traffic will be diverted via Stepps Road, Edinburgh Road, Wellhouse Road, and Westerhouse Road to access the M8 again through Junction 10 eastbound. Northbound traffic will be rerouted via Stepps Road, Gartloch Road, Auchinlee Road, and Westerhouse Road to the same on-slip.
• Reportedly, according to Amey, the project is weather-dependent, and may be delayed or cancelled in the event of adverse weather. The planned improvements are intended to reduce long-term maintenance needs and improve travel quality for road users on this route.
