As per reports, around 24 people, including 12 security personnel, were injured in clashes between security forces and protesters opposing a cable car project in the Pathibhara area of Taplejung district in eastern Nepal, as of Sunday (23 February).
• The police have arrested 15 accused involved in the violence.
• The Taplejung district administration has also imposed prohibitory orders in many parts of the district, including Fungling Bazaar and Pathibhara area, since Sunday (23 February) morning.
• In the prohibited areas, gathering of more than five people together, participation in activities like meetings, processions, demonstrations etc. will not be allowed.
