As per reports, a bomb threat was issued to the pilot of an Air India aircraft (AI 657), arriving from Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram, at around 0730 hours on Thursday (22 August).

The flight landed at the airport around 0800 hours and was directed to an isolation bay, while the passengers were safely evacuated by 0844 hours. A full emergency was declared at the airport at 0736 hours.

• Airport operations are currently uninterrupted, while there have been no injuries reported as of yet.
