As per reports, Belgian National Day is scheduled nationwide on Tuesday (21 July), commemorating King Leopold the First taking the constitutional oath as Belgium’s first monarch on 21 July 1831.

• The day is a statutory public holiday, and government offices, financial institutions and several businesses are expected to remain closed or operate with reduced hours.
• In Brussels, National Day in the Park activities are scheduled from 1000 hours to 2000 hours local time (0800 hours to 1800 hours UTC) between Brussels Park, Place Poelaert and Cinquantenaire, featuring concerts, children’s activities, folklore parades, police and security exhibitions and public displays.
• A military and civil parade is scheduled at 1600 hours local time (1400 hours UTC), followed by a concert, fireworks, laser display and drone show at Cinquantenaire from 2100 hours local time (1900 hours UTC).
• Additional celebrations include the National Ball at Place du Jeu de Balle from 1900 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) on Monday (20 July), a free classical concert in the presence of the King and Queen at 2000 hours local time (1800 hours UTC) on Monday (20 July), and the Resto National food and music event at Place du Jeu de Balle from 1700 hours local time (1500 hours UTC) on Tuesday (21 July).
