As per reports, 17 cases of hepatitis A have been confirmed in young people between nine and 17 years old in Coahuila, as well as two cases in Durango as of Monday (26 February).
• There are no reports of other possible infections, however, a health fence will be maintained in the affected regions until new cases are ruled out.
• Measures are being taken to chlorinate water in water tanks since schools were ruled out as a source of contagion.
• Additionally, 20 businesses have been visited by the Health Regulation area staff to collect food samples since possible factors for the Hepatitis A cases are that high temperatures lead to the contamination of some food or liquids.
• Visits were also made to the homes of infected minors to find out their health status and that of their families.
