As per reports, an Air Europa Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight (UX045) from Madrid to Montevideo experienced severe turbulence leading to an emergency landing in Natal, north-eastern Brazil around 1030 hours BRT on Monday (01 July). There were 325 passengers on board, of whom 30 reported injuries, with some suffering cranial fractures and facial cuts.

The emergency landing was met by ambulances, with injured passengers receiving medical attention. 10 injured passengers had to be taken to the hospital, while others were treated at the scene.
