As per reports, African Swine Fever (ASF) has been confirmed at a pig farm in Dolné Semerovce, Levice district, as of Monday (05 May).
• The outbreak was identified by the National Reference Laboratory in Zvolen on Friday (02 May).
• Approximately 18458 pigs are affected, necessitating depopulation.
• Measures have been implemented in a three and ten-kilometer restriction zone around the outbreak site.
• The disease is not transmissible to humans but poses a significant threat to domestic pigs and wild boars.
