As per reports, on Monday (22 January) the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) announced that 200 additional policemen were deployed across the Johannesburg to mitigate the problems of traffic congestion in the city.

Members of the mayor’s office stated that there would be strict oversight and accountability in the event of any traffic related offense.
