Description:

As per reports, an air raid alert has been declared in the Penza and Samara regions on Saturday (02 August), in connection with a possible attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

• Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been introduced at the airports of Saratov (Gagarin) and Tambov (Donskoye).
• Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been introduced at the Airports of Samara and Penza.
• In early Saturday (02 August), air raid sirens were sounded in several regions of Russia, including the Lipetsk and Penza regions, as well as Mordovia, Dagestan and North Ossetia.

Impact:

The Airport restrictions are likely to impact the weekend traffic, which may lead to backlogs and delays in other flights scheduled to transit through the said Airports. Pressure and crowding at alternate Airports are likely. Authorities may introduce further restrictions as deemed fit.
