Description:

As per reports, the Turkish State Meteorological Service forecasts heavy rainfall for parts of Türkiye from Wednesday (06 August).

• Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected to affect Istanbul and surrounding districts including Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Sakarya, Yalova, Bursa, and Edirne from Wednesday (06 August) evening, and continue into Thursday (07 August) and Friday (08 August).
• Rainfall is also in forecast in inland areas of the Mediterranean and the Eastern Black Sea coast, with intermittent showers likely in Denizli, Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, Bolu, and Ordu.
• Scattered rainfall is anticipated across wider regions, including Marmara, Black Sea, Central Anatolia, and the Inner Aegean.
• In addition, northerly and southerly winds are expected across the country, with strong gusts (30–50 km/h) forecast particularly for the Marmara region.
