As per reports, two service providers at Gatwick Airport, Red Handling and Red Line Oil Services, have announced strike actions that coincide with the May half-term travel period in England and Wales starting from Friday (16 May).

• The strikes are being organized by staff represented by Unite the Union, citing dissatisfaction with pay, working conditions, and benefit administration.
• The industrial action by Red Handling, which manages baggage and ground services, is scheduled for Sunday (18 May), 25 May, and 01 June.
• The Red Line Oil Services, responsible for aircraft refuelling, will strike from Friday (16 May) to 20 May and again from 23 May to 27 May.
• More than 40 airlines operate at Gatwick, including major carriers such as easyJet, Ryanair, British Airways, TUI, Vueling, and Wizz Air. While some airlines, like easyJet and Ryanair, report they do not expect disruptions, the second week of Red Line’s strike overlaps with peak travel dates and is likely to create operational challenges.
