As per reports, a fire broke out at the Sappi plant in Umkomaas around 1400 hours local time on Wednesday (17 July). A significant cloud of smoke was visible from kilometres away. During the evacuation of employees, a loud explosion was heard. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed yet.
